With players from the now defunct Cowboy II team graduating to the Cowboys in the RIHL, the results were emphatic. The Cowboys finished the regular season at the top of the league in the RIHL for the first time ever! Then they sealed the deal with a Playoff Championship.

Not to be out done, on the next rink over the Old Boys also had success in the Playoffs possibly winning their division, but there is no clear evidence of that and at there age, no one really remembers.
