In the 1998-99 season, just as he has for the 20 years that he has worn the Cowboy jersey, Dave Fontaine displayed all of the inscribed characteristics. Heart is what the team was built on, and nobody has shown more over the years. His strength is evident physically on the ice, and in character off the ice. His dedication to the team is indisputable. He was once quoted to say, "Once you become a Cowboy, you don't want to play for anybody else."
