Mike Haraguchi 2016-2017

"Unassuming" might be a word you would use to describe Mike Haraguchi, but that assumes too much. He is quiet, modest and unpretentious, to be sure, but he makes his presence known in other ways. You will certainly notice him on the ice, particularly if you are the opponents goaltender, but as any hockey player knows, true leadership reveals inself in the dressing room and by actions beyond the arena.

As a golf pro at Capilano Golf and Country Club his responsibilities sometimes take him away from the rink and his absence is felt. However this does not diminish his dedication to the Cowboys. You can always count on him to help out and he continually contributes behind the scenes in fund raisers and other events. Mike is the kind of guy you can count on and a true example of the character required to earn this award.

Respresenting the second generation of Cowboys, we can all be proud to see him in the ranks of Cowboy of the Year and a role model for all up and coming Cowboys.
