Dave Harkness 2009-2010

In hockey, when it comes to having someone to count on, you really want it to be your goaltender. Dave Harkness is that guy. He (along with an equally reliable netminder, Alan Hay) has steadfastly stood between the pipes for longer than any other Cowboy goalie.

His performance on the ice is equal to his performance off the ice. His dedication - unquestionable. His heart - bigger than the net. His leadership and strength of character - undeniable. His competitive nature only surpassed by his gentlemen stature.

Dave has at times been the unsung hero for the Cowboys. Other times he has clearly been the different. At all times his has been the backbone of the team. There was little debate is deciding that Dave Harkness should join the elite ranks of Cowboy of the Year this year.
